OUR TREND SERIES
We present our favourite trends in the Indian wear
We picked out favourite trends in the new wave of Indian Wear and invited Devina Vadera Bhandari, whose personal style we’ve always loved, to put together our first shoot for
ogaan.com.
Our round-up of hot new shapes:
crop tops &
skirts (the hot new lehenga substitutes) from
Sonal Kalra Ahuja &
Kavita Bhartia and
shararas (one of our favorite comebacks -- how did we ever manage without these roomy pant-like beauties?) from
Kavita Bhartia.
The renewed focus on the handcrafted has been one of our favourite ongoing trends: Simple, fluid & gorgeous
handwoven linen saris from
Anavila (easy to dress up with
Vasundhara Mantri’s pearly earrings or
Payal Pratap’s elegant golds) & classical, beautiful
handworked heirloom Chikankari from
Anjul Bhandari.
Finally, a splash of
bright, bold, colour with spunky threadwork from
Studio Petticoat and it’s polar opposite
neutrals, whites & nudes – so big at weddings this season – from
Kavita Bhartia.
That’s our Round-Up of The New Indian Wear for now. More from our Urban Work Wear Story & more on Devina, her personal style, and what she did with the shoot soon!
